Khenpo Orgyen Thinley Rinpoche was born surrounded by the snow covered Himalayan Mountains of Tibet.  From the
age of 14 he began studying and practicing under the
guidance of his heart teacher, the fully realized
Dzogchen master, Kyabje Jigmed Phuntsok Rinpoche from
whom he received extensive Mahayana, Vajrayana and
Dzogchen teachings over the next 10 years. During his
time with Jigmed Phuntsok Rinpoche, he had many very
wonderful spiritual experiences, and directly received
Jigmed Phuntsok Rinpoche's wisdom, compassion, and
enlightened qualities. As a result, his life was
completetly transformed.

In 1995 he had the good fortune to meet Kyabje Thinley
Norbu Rinpoche with whom he has heartfelt devotion and
a deep connection. He received many empowerments and
teachings from Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, following which
Thinley Norbu Rinpoche invited him to the United
States.

Orgyen Thinley Rinpoche currently lives in the United
states in the San Francisco Bay area. He teaches
regularly to many western students in California and
also travels to teach in other parts of the country. "
